Stromatolites featured on NOVA mini-series, November 2015

5b_nova-2-copyTHE NOVA mini series Making North American premiers on Nov 4, 11 and 18. Stromatolites, Earth’s first macroscopic fossils, are highlighted in Episode 2. Pamela Reid and Noah Planavsky dive with host Kirk Johnson (Director, Natural History Museum, Smithsonian Institution) to examine stromatolites in Adderly Cut, north of Lee Stocking Island. The NOVA film crew was hosted by the Darby Island Research Station in Oct. 2014.
