Introducing marine science to Bahamian youth is a passion for Nikita Shiel Rolle, who started the Young Bahamian Marine Scientist program as part of The Danguillecourt Project (since renamed Bahamas Marine EcoCentre). In August 2009, Nikita organized educational activities for the students on Farmers Cay, introducing them to marine conservation issues such as mangrove preservation, overfishing etc. A great experience for all!
