Live Weather Transmission from Darby Island, March 2018

In March 2018, Rich Findley and Peter Ortner successfully installed a new Vaisala weather station (WXT530) on Darby Island using the original tower set up in August 2008. With help from S/V Fussel, the tower was lowered and the old instruments replaced. The new station transmits data to the cloud, which can be viewed online. Data is also recorded on site as back up for times when BTC cell service is down.

Darby weather (wind, temp, humidity, precipitation, pressure, solar- current conditions and history) can be viewed on Weather Underground.

Wind Alert provides a wind and temperature forecast in addition to current and Wind Alert.
